Kashif
I suppose you guys would be pissed after South Park's "Blame Canada" theme for their movie. ←Actually Canadians loved it, even Anne Murray found the part "and that oh yeah! Anne Murray" funny. All the radio talk shows were talking about it when Robin Williams sung it during the academy awards ceremony. You would be surprised to know how funny Canadians can be and how well we can take a joke.

Asinine
now... if I ran the "show"... naughty people, college grad hippies, bad drivers, mcdonalds employees, and people who dont like White Castle, have to drive peugots and live in siberia and have to sport an "L" on their fore head. everyone else gets a tatoo on their arse that states "Property of Chris Zimmerman"..... ←now.. if i ran the "show"... naughty people, jews, transients would all have to sport a "star of david" on the clothes. everyone else gets a swastika! The similarities between American imperialism and the spread of Nazi germany are pretty interesting - if only for how scary they are!As for south park, one of the creators happens to be a Canadian national, and we generally can take the jokes and ignorant stereotypes because generally they are spoken by idiots... it's when people who have some authority (fox news, anne coulter) spew this crap about how lucky Canada is to have the US as a neighbour - that's what fires me up.Hell i love stereotypes, i just hate when 'experts' proclaim them as fact! fastboy
Say what anyone will say, I personally don't care. This whole Canadian/American thing is based off of a handful of nut jobs that make the national news. Who really cares? Not me. I love Canada I was born here, I'll live most of my years here, but I love the States too. I travel there as often as possible and I never really felt any bad feelings towards me from any American I have every dealt with. Shame on people for writing Crap about Crap just to be noticed. I say monkey'em. He's part of the reason we have this little problem, and he is no better than what he is writing about. Besides, it's FOX news reporting on political b/s, the only thing they know how to do Edited July 7, 2005 by Fastboy512

xtc
Fox News has to be one of the worst news sources around. O'Reilly, Coulter and Fox News have an ongoing feud with one of our TV Networks the CBC. The CBC exposed the factual inaccuracies in FOX's news reporting and FOX has never got over it.Canadians don't hate Americans, Carolyn Parish doesn't speak for us. Many Canadians dislike the current US Adminstration and Foreign Policy. Some Canadians agree with it.There were a ton of Americans in Toronto for the Canada Day weekend and your July 4th weekend. The Americans were welcomed with opened arms and Torontonians (from what I say) were very friendly and helpful.
Asinine
I don't know how off the mark Parish is with her comments. Sure on a literal level they don't represent all Canadians, but i think a large portion of our population doesn't like american culture, american tactics, americans bombing out soilders, their government, etc.I have yet to meet an American i don't like (individually), but on the whole, i really can't stand that culture of dominance and ignorance! I'm reading a Hitler biography right now, and the similaried between nazi imperialism and american imperialism are quite astonishing!
855R
I gotta say "whatever" again. But when I want to find out the real story I tune into FOX! and I don't hate/dislike all canadians just the dumb ones. Just like I can't stand dumb americans, seems to be alot of those lately....
