I'm seriously considering removing my mudflaps to give my car a cleaner look. I live in minnnesota and we do get some crappy weather, but do those of you who have no mudflaps get much for damage to your paint job from fling up? should I just paint all of my trim and my mudflaps to match my car? or is that just plain retarded? Thanks guys!

Like I said, my paint was monkeyed up by the previous owner, so I didn't really hurt anything. The bottom of the rocker panels may be a little f**ked up, but the sides still look good. You'll never see closeup shots of my car though, because I am embarassed by the paint. The hood is atrocious (sp?).

you looked into getting it done professionally? A good detailer can work magic on fubared paint.

I did have it profesionally detailed and now do the 3-step myself. The car looks great from afar, but when you get close you can see the chips, deep scratches and dings. Previous owner was a douchebag. I think the car was in an accident that was never reported. I pulled the side badges off and widened the holes to put in my sidemarkers (Hella LEDs) and thought I had some stubborn adhesive. Turns out the previous owner superglued (or something like it) the badge back on. The detailer couldn't even get rid of it.
