I took my 245 DL there because my trans. started to slip, while I was pulling my Kubota. I had to pull over anyway because my shiny head was causing to many traffic accidents. HA HA HA!!!!!!!

although i don't reccomend the dealer b/c of price, quantrell does have one of the best volvo mechanics around. he's won the trip to sweden to train at volvo several times. best mechanic i know.

Why dont you tell them the real reason why you took your volvo there, for a chk eng light, which they refused to work on because of all the aftermarket stuff on it, you are lucky they even concidered giving you a wireing diagram, those are for tech use only, not for public. i happend to be talking to a tech when you drove in and asked about it becuse of the bov you had on it. he shrugged laughed and said *kids*

Also on your page it says the car it in tip top shape, Ha, thats all ill say about that..~

Ive had nothing but luck with quantrell, there service dept is excellent, all of there techs have a huge amount of knowledge, 3 of the 6 have over 25yrs exp each just on volvo alone. and the other 3 are younger guys who have been trained by the top 3, and to have your techs trained by probably the best volvo tech in the nation is somthing. Theres not alot that gets past him.

i have taken my car there for so long that they are all family..

Not everycar car can be fixed the first time, i took my car in for a dieing problem, i rode with the tech it died, he replaced a part drove it, it did not die, the quality care person drove the vehicle 25miles did not die, on the way home it died, all they can do is fault trace do what they have seen and are confident in and if it doesnt act up again then whos to say it isnt fixed.

How can u say their service dept. is excellent when the service manager doesn't know a Volvo has a f--king turbo on it stock? I mean come on...the guys in parts had never heard of a vacuum tree and also told me Volvo doesn't make a stock 18" wheel. I told them to go look at it on an S60 R. The mechanics and service guys are super nice, but I got in a good argument w/ Mark Chandler...I asked him about what the stock oil pressure should run (so I can monitor it w/ an oil pressure gauge), and he said, "well it runs about 12psi, but that engine has so much done to it, the oil pressure will be way off." My motor is STOCK...16T turbo, ported/polished manifolds and TB, but the motor itself is stock. The oil pressure might be a little off stock readings due to higher boost levels, but he acted like my engine was completely rebuilt. Then he tried to say putting a 16T on it was stupid, it was too big. I told him all the x70 series HPTs have 16Ts and he started a rant about how the engines in them are just so different than in the 850 HPTs. They're very nice, but from MY experience, they know very little about cars in general (not specifically Volvos, just basic car knowledge). Chandler seemed to think a chrome-plated intercooler pipe or CF cam cover changes how the car runs...I think what irritated me most is their comment about how the EST 302mm brake kit is too big, and WILL EVENTUALLY START RUBBING THE WHEELS...seriously, that's just stupidity. And finally, dad took the 960 there for an oil change and they charged him for 8 quarts of oil...I guess the Quantrell quarts are just a little bit smaller than the normal quart.

P.S. Check engine light? WTF are u talking about? And if these guys have been around Volvos for 25 years...wouldn't they be able to look under my hood and tell that not a whole lot has been done? No engine rebuilds or redone internals, nothing custom...I mean it's all stuff u get thru EST or IPD or Advance Auto. I'm not arguing w/ u, but I don't see how someone w/ that much experience could look at my car and say they don't have a clue where to start? Repairs and maintenance prodecures on my car are exactly the same as a stock 850 R.

edit: Working on the tranny could be slightly different, but the guys at Motorsports didn't have any trouble w/ it. And they spend most of their time on other types of cars.

Great sales department. Bob Peck is a great guy, and seems to know his Volvo's pretty well. Recommend him to anyone looking to buy from Quantrell.

Yes, he is. My family has bought 2 or 3 cars from him over the years. He is a great guy!!
