I am going to get an R, it is my dream car and I need to get one. I have about 10g to spend and I want something with under 100k. Black interior, pref. not white exterior. I am also on the east coast so all those west coast R's will be hard for me to get. IF ANYONE SEES A GOOD DEAL LET ME KNOW!!

there is a NICE black T-5 sedan in the for sale section located in Dallas...really nice car, and well cared for, not an R, but still very nice, I'd take a looksy if I were you.

i love the bumper, volans, colors, which i know i can duplicate...the one thing that would be very expensive and very hard to duplicate is the black leather/suede seats...i am absolutely in love with them. Plus ive wanted an actual R ever since i became interested in volvos.

I would never buy a car with 145k for 8 grand. i could buy an 850r with 100k for 8 grand...or an 850r with 60k for 10 grand

145k miles is nothing on these cars. Mine has 145k+ miles, but you wouldn't know it by looking at it - the exterior, interior, or the engine. An 850R with 145k miles has most likely already had the RMS replaced ($1k job right there) and is probably on its 2nd transmission too.

80k - 110k miles is probably the worst time at which to buy these cars. The next 30k miles is usually when a lot of parts start to go. You will most likely be stuck with the costliest repairs over the next two to three years of ownership.

Just an FYI from someone with two Rs in the familiy (purchased at the same time two years ago with 84k miles and 107k miles)

Thanks for the info...I will take that into consideration.
