Drew
WOw! No simple answer here...except to use common sense. I was going to ask about Amsoil Vs Mobil 1 but that's a whole nother' topic. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I'll stick with 4-5000 and drive it like I stole it. Actually, I did steal it. ha ha! Amsoil is better.....Mobil 1 is acceptable....5K because it's easy to remember on the odometer... :D

I know that, unfort I cannot find this label either in Spain nor in Europe. Maybe he'll know of a distributor in Spain. The ski is the only thing I use Amsoil in.And really, Mobil 1 is more than adequate for the purpose. I run it in all my cars with no worries.I even use the used Mobil 1 that I take out of the cars for the old lawn mower! The POS burns so much oil I'm starting to wonder if it's really a 2 stroke with an identity crisis!! Good Luck Everyone!Doug
KLS
Europe has some fine 5W-40 engine oils that we don't get here in the colonies. I'd use any major brand 5W-40 rated ACEA A5 or A3.Ken
Trunks850R
SO YOU ALL really think amsoil is better than mobil one huh? ive never done any research on amsoil, anyone care to enlighten me?oh yeah, funny story real quick since were on the oil topic: the last shop i worked at 3 years ago, our oil change guy was about as country as you could get(we called him mountain man and he literally had no teeth) but anyways he use to take all the empty bottles of oil and turn them upside down into a gallon jug and after about 3 weeks it would be full. he would run it in his old camero he had at home. we called it "heinz57 part everything"
RAzOR
I do every six months regardless of mileage. Everything is just fine.

RAzOR
I used to use Amsoil but now I use Mobile 1 5W-30 becuase Costco has it for $24.99 / six pack!I use Amsoil Universal ATF though. Awesome stuff. Awesomely expensive too.
WhiteT5
Amsoil is quite hyped IMO due in part to how the company is set up; with distributors and all. Not saying it's a bad oil, but I certainly wouldn't call it the best.

djscoggins
I use Mobil1 10w30 and change every 5k. I have a commute to work and I get on it sometimes but this has been good so far. Plus the service light comes on every 5k so its easy to remember when to change :P

Plus the service light comes on every 5k so its easy to remember when to change Seems to me the engines in these cars are the strongest link. When's the last time someone had serious trouble running dino oil? As I recall, bay13 talked about getting 300K easy with dino oil only. Dealer friend of mine says he sees 850's 'all the time' well over 200K that have only run dino never with an engine related issue.Seems like the money would be better spent on high quality synth ATF - trannies definitely appear to be one of the weak links in the 850s. RAzOR
Ahhh..didn't you just blow a tranny out Fo Shizzle. But that was at about 200K miles running pretty hard for much of that!Even good oil can't keep the trans up forever I guess Amsoil is awesomely expensive but that trans job was even more awesomely expensive. <money flying away>
lcc014
What is the mileage recommendation between oil changes using Mobil 1?Every 3k miles with Mobil 1 10W-30 in the summer time and Mobil 1 5W-30 in winter time.Flush tranny at every 30k miles with Mobil 1 ATF.
