Kashif
We may be a country of 30 million, but at least we don't need our supreme court to pick our Prime Minister. And I say bring back Chretien, if we could raise the dead, I'd say reelect Pierre Elliot Trudeau. Dr. 850R what kind of doctor are you? Right now I am a 1st year med student in St. Louis having just finish metabolism and cell bio. Edited December 28, 2005 by Kashif

PyROTech
As long as Steven Harper is in control of the Toryes, they have no chance. The PC party needs a more center to right type person and Steven Harper is not it.my thought too.No we don't... were just the second largest country in the world, we scratch our arses all day he was refering to land size, im not sure if were second though, but then again its been awhile since school. mikie
my thought too.he was refering to land size, im not sure if were second though, but then again its been awhile since school.Yes I was refering to land size, Canada is rich in raw materials which makes us important in the world. Even with a population of "less than that of california", we are ranked in the top 10 richest countries in the world. So I quote Dr. 850R, "we're all about quality, not quantity", (I liked that one...lol) :D Edited January 2, 2006 by mikie

PyROTech
Canada must really suck. For example, I live there. ohhhh please!, Canada doesnt suck, name another country in the world where i can kill someone and still have a good chance of getting house arrest and no jail time? well maybe 5 months. Only place where life means the length of time between oil changes.
Asinine
who's population is less than that of california. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeSize matters! you lose!Vote Liberal or don't vote at all.Conservatives may get a minority gov't (not convinced - Paul is a smart campaigner) but no one will agree with them so we'll be back to the polls in 2006.Paul Martin was born to lead this country. We're the only G8 country with a balanced budget, and his policies make the most economic sense! PERIOD!However, i would have voted PC if Joe Clark or Belinda were still around (or didn't trade), but won't have anything to do with the Canadian Alliance. In first year poli sci i wrote a paper on why not to vote for the CA. I got a B-, not exactly what the academic TA was looking for!? :P

quiksilver
I have a more than sneaking suspicion that the COnvervatives will take this one, hands down... Minority government, 80% likely, but I'm not ruling out a very slim majority government either. They've simply attacked this campaign chance with everything they had (Stand up for Canada, good slogan, I think), with the very high majority (read: all) of their ads bashing the liberals, instead of actually telling people why to vote for them, rather than why they shouldn't vote for the Liberals. I'd be willing to bet that they'll win this election, not that I'll be voting for them. I've always been fairly left-winged, so if it's between the Liberals (I know, they're centre, but let's face it, they swing left more often than not) and Greens, I'd have to go Liberal, since beyond becoming a recognized party, Greens don't have a chance at the leadership. To me, it's vote Liberal, or vote Conservative, all political views aside. Steven Harper just seems insanely right wing to me (IMO, obviously), once he starts implementing some of those views and policies of his, we'll be onto another non-confidence vote and election soon enough. :)
