Caaine
Hiya,I am new to this forum and just wanted to begin by saying that I absolutely love the information I have been able to gather here, a total mechanic newbie but have already found solutions to some of my cars problems. One problem is the famous tailgate rattle along with some door rattling when playing the stereo at loud volume, so I have read a lot of posts here about Dynamat and Peal and Seal and the great how-to guide that is stickie here at top.I do have a problem though, I live in Iceland and the price of Dynamat is just murder, plain and simple. I have not yet found a Peal and Seal reseller and was hoping there were other brands that would have the same effect and if you could list a few so that I could go search for em here at local shops.FYI, 2 door panel Dynamat Extreme is 170USD here :/ Is Dynamat Extreme the same as Dynamat Ultra? Did not see any Ultra in the store. Thanks again for great tips guys.Regards,Caaine´95 850 T5
Caaine
Hi,One more question, since I have started. Does the Tailgate Rattle Repair Kit from eEuroparts.com work? Should I get one?Regards,Caaine
Chris_R
Yes, it works great if you have broken bits in the tailgate. I bought a similar kit off ebay and it worked great (directions sucked, but that's life!). -Chris
steve s
wear gloves...the bottom carpet section is mounted on some fiber stuff...makes ur hands itch and irritated...bend the metal pieces to fit over the top of the plastic mounts on the trim side...screws will hold it in place. should be 3 screws per metal piece, four sets total... one of the screws probably has to be screwed from inside the mount so that the hole where the clip goes remains clear...getting off the plastic piece where the interior tailgate lever is a pain in the butt...the four clips on the top and at the bottom of the trim may break when u take the trim off...email sounddomain.com or someplace cheap to see what kind of shipping u can get ...
