Mesoam Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 I made this bad boy this morning after finally getting around to picking up the transfer paper. Made a few "prototypes" to see how different graphics, methods of ironing / and cut out shapes look. I found the best result was cutting close to the edges of the letters but not right on them or else a piece of the graphic might come off (like I said, prototypes). Plus if you do a letter fade (i did a dark to light scheme) you need to over emphasize the fading because the printer always makes the colors look less faded for some reason (maybe its just my printer?)..Any way enough stuff here's the VS-T
850t-5 man Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 sweet, where and how much do we get them for
Mesoam Posted May 26, 2004 Author Report Posted May 26, 2004 well, i made it my self but i guess if there is enough interest i could pick up some T's and make a bunch. I first want to find out how these transfers hold up in the wash.
matt1122 Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Very nice!Could you e-mail me the graphic per chance? :D
Flyby Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what font Volvo uses in their logos? I would love to make a shirt with real Volvo Font.Is that iron on stuff tough to work with? I just bought some a week ago and haven't gotten around to trying it out. Any suggestions?
benson304 Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 It's a corporate font, owned by Volvo, and very expensive.
Mesoam Posted May 29, 2004 Author Report Posted May 29, 2004 ok put the t-shirts though the wash and they held up fine. I'll find out how much basic white tee's are and then set a price from there...The iron on material is tricky to work with...the graphic must be basic, you have to cut it close to the edge but not to close because the graphic will rip also when you go to iron you have to be careful as to not burn the fabric/graphic
Veneficus Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 As far as the font that volvo uses for its lettering... I have found that a font named "Georgia" in bold face works the best. Thats the lettering style that I used in my Avatar when I made that. Has anyone ever thought of getting vinyls made for volvospeed? I know that vptuning has some and I think we should get some over here too... -- Brian
schaff70 Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 It's a corporate font, owned by Volvo, and very expensive.I have Corel 9.0 with over 200 fonts. Let me know a name for whatever is closest & I can get it for you.
benson304 Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 The font is actually called Volvo Condensed.I'm sure you might find something on google.
