Pennington
Hey guys,I am posting here becuase I want to see what the possibility is of parting out a Volvo. I'm a big VW guy and I know with our cars when one dies there are usually enough people out there trying to restore theirs that you can part the whole thing out fairly easy. But I dont know much about the volvo scene. Is there a demand for this at all? Becuase my dad has a 760 Turbo that needs to have the head rebuilt and he really doesnt care about the car anymore. HE has told me if I can part it out, (as I do with my VWs) then to go ahead and do that; cuase he doenst want the hassle of fixing the car. So what Im asking is: Is it worth it, and are there enough people out there that it would be worth while? Thanks in advance.~Pennington
ViperVettte
You will get more money parting it out yoursefl then having a junk yard take it off your hands. You should fill out your Signiture and Location, so people know who you are and where you are located though! Welcome to VolvoSpeed!

Welcome to VolvoSpeed! Thanks, I just wasnt sure how much of a demand there is in the Volvo genre cause I have never ventured into it. I figured that volvo guys are just as passionate about their cars as VWgeeks are, but just wasnt sure. I'll update my profile in a bit, but while Im at it, I'll list info about the car and the few pics I have right now...Click for a larger imageClick for a larger imageClick for a larger imageClick for a larger imageClick for a larger imageClick for a larger imageClick for a larger imageFrom what I know the car is in good condition. The head went poof about 3 years ago. Its been sitting ever since. Originally my dad was going to rebuild the head, but has since lost interist. The interior is black leather as pictured, dash has a few cracks in it, but the car is all there. We even have an extra radiator, intercooler, and 2 other small radiator type things that I dont know what they go to.I'll strip it apart if people can use the parts. I just dont want to start pulling it apart if i'm only going to be able to sell like 4 or 5 parts; and then have half a car in the drive way and a garage full of stuff I dont need. Thanks again~Pennington
