I did that on my ttr 225 after the rangr said I was in noise violation...I used a Pepsi as at the time i was about 13

I didn't think a TTR 225 could make enough noise to be "in violation"

My KTM exhaust is absolutely OBNOXIOUS. But, on the track...people get right out of the way

I did a similar exhaust fix on my Vovo where my muffler mounts to the pipes I could not squeeze them together enough and had some slit showing. I hate it when my slit shows. Anyway, it leaked some. Damn leaking slits. I wrapped sheet gasket material a couple times around and then a hose clamp. Works perfectly. No more hot leaking slits.
