Needs more contrast.

If everything is the same color with just white borders around the text, it will get really confusing and hard to read.

I suggess maybe the dark blue background for the page, then a light gray or white for any of the forum names and descriptions.

The Category headings could be a different shade of blue to set them off from the background.

White to me works best for readibility on any forum I have designed.

I think it would look awesome with a dark blue background, white forum names, descriptions, and forum index. Then category headings would be darker blue.

If you need more explaining I can mock up what I mean for you.

i suggest you just leave it be, this forum is one of the easiest to read out of all of the ones i frequent..

if you want to revamp do a more conservative approach like turbobricks.com forums.
