azinwa
Doug's already gone And Brian has it under control, he got the turbo off right after the car was towed home from Kito's, then took it to Bert.I think the reason he is sticking with the K24 now is because that's what his oil lines are setup for, and those are different than Mitsubishi turbos and Garrets IIRC.The 3K24 will work just fine as long as it get's some oil BK

the ünderstüdy
I know, I was saying I think he will stick with it instead of getting a different turbo now yeh, im for sure staying with it. plus my down pipe flange is only for a k24 so.....i dont wanna have to change that. plus everyone has a mitsu or Garrett turbo, not sure if anyone else has a k24 on a 240. plus now that i know how nasty it sounds, im for sure sticking with it. Johann
not sure if anyone else has a k24 on a 240. Some have 2... As a backup plan you can install an angled flange 13G/16T/18T/19T. The only thing you need is revised oil and water plumbing.

Gioseppe
so how, exactly, DID it run out of oil..... blockage somewhere?
the ünderstüdy
so how, exactly, DID it run out of oil..... blockage somewhere?havent tried to figure it out yet. it wasnt getting oil to begin with. return line was dry, just had chunks or wheel in it once the turbo went. so this time before we start the car, undo the oil feed, crank it over and make sure oil is getting to it before we go drive it. Johann
What about the oil return?Make sure it is above the oil level in the crank pan else it will block the flow. also the diameter should at least be 14 to 16 mm (~0.55-0.63")
azinwa
so how, exactly, DID it run out of oil..... blockage somewhere? The fluffer damper came off the flapper valve I'm thinking the feed line has a restriction, i'm having a new one made.Bert
