Super 60 Turbo, 96 850r....

It hasnt been on the car for a while but it recently returned with my cylinder head from the machince shop. Its nice option for those who dont want an 18t-19t and the hassle of new injectors and 20 remaps later to get it running right. I ran it on an UPsolute chip w/15psi map, boost controller at 17psi, on the stock injectors with no problems. I dont drag my car or beat it on it all that much so I wasnt worried about blowing anything up. The only snafu I had with it was since mine is conical flange I had to get a new downpipe. It definitely pulls harder than my stock 15g thats on the car now. Its freshly rebuilt, lightly ported and clean. I hope to get it back on the car soon.

So just so I understand this - you are running the super 60 wheel upgrade using the ECU chip designed for a 15G @15psi, right? I wonder what your A/Fs are, since the Super 60 flows almost what a 19T does...

Man i wish i knew too. but i dont have a WBO2. the upsolute chip runs rich and back when I had the turbo on the car i didnt know much about what kind of fueling it needed. Like i said it was on the car and it ran well. I was recently able to counter this rich condition installing a digital fuel adjuster. It allows me me to richen the mixture or lean it out over 128 points of the rpm range. When it goes back on the car there will be white injectors along with the capability to tune the A/F myself. I will be purchasing a WBO2 before I put it back on the car so i can fine tune the fuel mixture.

The super 60 is a nice compressor wheel but remember that you still have the td04 exhaust wheel which is causing alot of backpressure buildup and excess heat. Thats why Im not a fan of the Td04hl-19t, same thing, your having a large compressor wheel making the power, but you have the exhaust path confined by the small td04 exhaust wheel. So your going to need some careful tuning to ensure that you dont bend rods from excess heat and detonation, if you really want a nice upgrade, see if you can swap out the exhaust wheel/housing for something larger like a Td05

I'd rather have a huge compressor and a tiny exhaust to povide a good low end high revs is not what the 5cyl engine is about. So you limit your top end... I'd rather have my power fall off just before redline then peak just before reline and carry on pass redline.

Anyone know what may cause this flutter/skip, I'm getting this as well at high boost under heavy acceleration 17-19psi?????

Sounds like you may have compressor surge, if the compressor is too big and the engine cannot ingest all that flow because the exhaust wheel is too small you'll get compressor surge.

Eaither that or it's fuel cut.

Its not the power curve that I care about, its the fact that the size of the housing when matched with a compressor wheel like that causes heat buildup and backpressure on the motor.
