Throttle Body?

Yeah yeah buy a turbo.. , but would the big bore throttle body from volvo motorsports work on my 96 glt, is there a big difference between the turbo and NA throttle body? Any one sell a spacer? And what about ported intake manifold to go with the 62mm big bore?

Well so far I have install 2.5 inch exhaust with free flow cat, custom cold air intake, upgraded ground wire kit, procomp coil, kingsborne wires, sport chipped 02 sensor, voltage stabilizer ( had from another car that i never used so thought what the heck ), Very soon once it arrives procomp msd 6a style ignition, near future ecu tuning, and any other mods. I can afford or think of trying

No offense but it seems most of your mods are ignition mods, why are you spending so much time and money when the stock ignition is just fine to 300,400 hp?

Had some idle issues and just kept on replacing till all was new, seemed like the right thing to do, and besides that almost all the part are blue and match the underhood look I am going for.

Anyone know the mm of the 96 2.4l NA throttle body?

If the throttle body on a NA car is larger than a turbo model why can't you run a NA TB on a turbo car, will it not work??? Just seems if it would work it would definately be a cheaper alternative to the aftermarket one. Any info on whether this is a direct bolt on mod that will work w/o throwing any codes?

The '96 850 GLT does not have a turbocharged engine, and all of the GLTs have the large throttle body.

So can this TB be run on a Turbo engine with no CEL and be a direct bolt on?????

Yes, by a lot. There are for a non forced induction engine. Before you ask the NAs also have bigger manifolds, and higher lift cams.

On higher boost applications a bored throttle body from say VMS would be a good addition correct?
