Throttle Body?

How about using a mustang TB???

Thor

Sure. You could use a 1982 Chevy Chevette TB if you wanted. Just a matter of the bolt pattern matching as well as adapting it to fit the goofy throttle body cable system and the TPS.

Seriously though, why bother when you just bore the stock TB and be done with it?

The Mustang TB is 70mm if I remember correctly - too big for these engines. You may as well use the NA or 960 TB which is 100% plug and play.

No, the mustang TB has nothing to do with it whatsoever. You would send me your stock Volvo turbo TB and I would bore it (yes I can also bore the intake manifold as well).

A Volvo Master Tech should be able to accomplish this, I didn't mean for you to think some half wit was going to try it

A volvo master tech wouldn't have a damn clue what he was doing with something like that. You need a machinist.

We bore cylinders out on Saabs when customers don't want to get a new engine due to a busted up piston, I was thinking that it would be a similiar thing, no???

I meant I am not going to answer this because I have already done so. Please READ carefully and you will find the answer.

Also, to address the hone issue yes a hone would work but it may take a while. You have to open up the opening a TON for the NA. If you want to remove 1/2" of solid aliminum that is about 1.5" thick with a hone go for it. I suggest a carbide bit with a sanding drum. It will do the job in about 5 minutes.

So final answer is I should keep my TB but maybe bore the intake out a bit? And how much would you charge me to do this?

"It is not a released product yet, so pricing and ETA has not been finalized. So please don't bombard me with emails and PMs. It will be released when it is ready. It will be very soon but I am not going to commit to dates, period. As far as price all I can say is that it will be VERY competitively priced. Very."

Nope. Take it to a machine shop that knows what they're doing. They'll be able to port it a safe amount. Then you'll just have to get a butterfly valve that fits properly.
