bottlecap Posted June 27, 2006 Report Share Posted June 27, 2006 so it's been raining all day here in the great north east and i discovered today that the top weather-stripping on my windshield had vanished. i have no idea when or how this happened but i got into the car and noticed water coming in as soon as i pulled out of the driveway. when i got out i saw that the rubber was gone. huh. it wasn't anywhere to be found so i pulled the one off the old wrecked 850 and installed it on the t-5. problem solved but... how'd this even happen anyways? i don't want it happening again...-mike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In any case you can get a new strip, plus you can also get the piece that the strip clips into (a hard piece of plastic).Can you take a pic of what you are talking about? Figawi Posted June 27, 2006 Report Share Posted June 27, 2006 i bet your sunroof is what is leaking. my windshield weather strip is missing and i have never had a leak.i did have a leaking sunroof on an older 850 right by the mirror. it would leak when i pulled out of the driveway. 850-T Posted June 29, 2006 Report Share Posted June 29, 2006 Mine has been gone since I bought my car (1.5 years) and there has been no leak at all. If it was a problem I am sure my dad would have said something as he was a master technician for volvo at the dealership years ago. But yeah, no trip thing since and no leak. Only problem I have is that it makes some noise sometimes when going at high speeds or something. Also my moms sunroof leaked recently too so my dad fixed it. But it leaked into the back seat.
