I have silverstars in my regular headlights, and the generic sylvania H1's in the high beam socket. I do mostly city driving, so I'll use the brights very rarely -> cheap bulbs okay here.

As for the Silver Stars, they look much whiter than the cheaper generic bulbs, but they're pretty expensive for a light bulb (~$20/side). I will not buy them again.

Alright folks I got myself some silverstar H1's, but only two. I guess I'll have to go without high beams for a little while. That brings me to my question... which wire in the jewels is the low beams? Is it the white or yellow one? I think I read this somewhere before, but I can't find it.

Silverstar's in the high beam sockets are a waste of money: just buy the regular Sylvania or Phillips or whatever. You won't use them often enough to appreciate the extra $$$ spent. The cheaper bulbs project far enough, anyways; they just don't look as "white." As for your wiring, I can't remember. Plug it in before you bolt it on and test. I know Carson knows... you can wait for him to find this post! Make sure the regular bulb goes in the socket with the cup shield... I made that mistake.

Yup got it... low beams in the cup socket... to the outside. I even got the wiring right on the first try (lucky guess)! It's yellow for low and white for high. I'll go get some bulbs for the highs eventually... probably just regular. I should just be able to throw those in there without taking much apart. But yeah it looks awesome... I took some pictures that I'll put up later.
