Serdar-S60T5
hey everyone. it's the first time i'm checking out the political discussions section of this forum. it's very nice that volvospeed has such a wide variety of topics to discuss and that the members are willing to exchange views on such intellectual matters as well as their hobbies.but with all due respect to everyone and their opinions and beliefs, i'm afraid i'll have to say that the language used by many of us here is far from what it should've been while discussing a political subject, and most of the ideas supported or defended here are based whether on insufficient reading & knowledge about the subject, or simply on feelings and prejudice rather than facts. all the best,

RAzOR
Black95-850T5R missed a very IMPORTANT question Merlin posed to him.I'll restate because Black95-850T5R is being a good sport and I would love to hear an insider's perspective.WHY DON'T THE NON-RADICAL, GOOD MUSLIMS stand up and help their governments (ex Iran and Syria) catch the RADICAL Islamic terrorists?WHY DON'T WE SEE PROTESTS here in the US or in Europe in support of their adopted countries? They seem to be able to organize and protest against say, discrimination in the wake of 9-11 or some cartoons about their religeon quite effectively. In a war such as this, I would certainly think that they would want to take clear sides on this.WHERE ARE THEY and WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? Black95-850T5R
"The earliest known mention of the name 'Israel', probably referring to a group of people rather than to a place, is the Egyptian Merneptah Stele dated to about 1211 BCE. [4] For over 3,000 years, Jews have regarded the Land of Israel as their homeland, both as a Holy Land and as a Promised land. The land of Israel holds a special place in Jewish religious obligations, encompassing Judaism's most important sites — including the remains of the First and Second Temples, as well as the rites concerning those temples. [5] Starting around 1200 BCE, a series of Jewish kingdoms and states existed intermittently in the region for more than a millennium.Under Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and (briefly) Sassanian rule, Jewish presence in the province dwindled due to mass expulsions. In particular, the failure of the Bar Kochba Revolt against the Roman Empire resulted in the large-scale expulsion of Jews. It was during this time that the Romans gave the name Syria Palaestina to the geographic area, in an attempt to erase Jewish ties to the land. The Mishnah and Jerusalem Talmud, two of Judaism's most important religious texts, were composed in the region during this period. The Muslims conquered the land from the Byzantine Empire in 638 CE. The area was ruled by various Muslim states (interrupted by the rule of the Crusaders) before becoming part of the Ottoman Empire in 1517."some more israel historyYes, GOD gave the holy land to israel as mentioned in the Quran and the "true" Torah. " And verily We gave the Children of Israel the Scripture and the Command and the Prophethood, andprovided them with good things and favored them above (all) peoples."(Al-Jathiyah:16) i.e. the peoples of their time.BUT, they didn't deserve it because of disobeying God, fabrications, and wanting to kill the Prophets as also mentioned in the Quran. So, God gave the land to the deserving Muslims 1500 years ago." That is because they say: We have no duty to the Gentiles. They speak a lie concerning Allah knowingly." (Al-`Imran:75) Also: "The Jewssay: Allah's hand is fettered. Their hands are fettered and they areaccursed for saying so. Nay, but both His hands are spread out wide inbounty. He bestoweth as He will." (Al-Ma`idah:64)In another verse Almighty Allah says: "Verily Allah heard the saying ofthose who said, (when asked for contributions to the war): "Allah, forsooth,is poor, and we are rich! We shall record their saying with their slaying ofthe Prophets wrongfully and We shall say: Taste ye the punishment ofburning!" (Al-`Imran:181)"TheirProphet said unto them: Lo! Allah hath raised up Saul to be a king for you. They said: How can he have kingdom over us when we are more deserving of thekingdom than he is, since he hath not been given wealth enough?"(Al-Baqarah: 247)

The Bible and Torah were modified by men like you and me, but the Quran was/is not.so you mean to tell me that every Quran in circulation today was printed up on one of God's printing presses and distributed to all Muslims in the world and that no where in history man did not have a hand in the printing, and distribution of the Quran?it's early politics when the religious book of one religion slams another religious sect or group.Black, how many pilars of faith are in your version of Islam? Iran is full of radicals, and Syria simply want Isreal out of Al Aqsa = Jerusalem. Most muslims in the ME are against the extremists, but at the same time want israel out of Jerusalem peacefully.
