prasamin
it's behind the passenger headlightthe cap on the hose says 6 Nmno it's not.the switch is on the pipe going into the firewall next to the pass side strut tower....it's a little harness plugged into the A/C line.....take that harness off, jumper it, and the compressor will turn on. Trunks850R
"your compressor may cycle off if the pressure is low duu toa low charge. if the clutch cycles off, you can pull the low pressure cycling switch plug and attach a jumper wire, this will keep the compressor on" where is this "switch"

MadeInJapan
Hey dude...Travis. You should have called me. I'm on Summer vacation now until the end of the month so I would have come over and done it for you, got all the gauges, etc. for A/C... Call me though if you have any other woes, or even if you don't. by the way, you left 'Ole Franklin? Where the hell you working at now?
Trunks850R
STILL cant get it to come one. i put a paper clip to it, and nothing happened. grrrrrrrrr i was gettin ready to sell this one too, but thats gonna be hard as hell without AC. anyways ill play with it somemore when i get home. oh and i hooked up a gauge to the low side, and it read into the danger zone right off the bat, so im starting to wonder. i think it might have done that though because i was able to feed about half a can of R134a into it prior to that. damn guys the bad thing is, i did like 15 retro fit jobs on cars with r12 back when i was in tech school. i swear learning to work on cars IS NOT like learning to ride a bike!oh and david, im at ted russell kingston pike now, ted finally got his way and got me back up here! prasamin
so you jumpered that harness, and no cycling of the clutch?so you've either over charged or your compressor met the grave.
MadeInJapan
Trav...I'll have to come and see you.by the way, the pressure is going to read way in the red without the compressor running. That's normal.
drlava
if your compressor hasn't run for a while it could just be that the clutch is stuck, or the relay needs to be replaced.

Jumper the Switch, If the light comes on, then you have a compressor Clutch issue. NO light, Check Fuses....Fuse good? Check for open wires (continuity).
