prasamin
I PM'ed Adam about this, but let's get some opinions while I wait for a reply.Currently: Image Dynamics IDQ12 12" 300watt subwoofer powered by RF Power 1001bd amp 500x1 4ohm or 1000x1 2ohmPlanned: a good 8" sub with minimal mounting depth that will sound as good as the IDQ12 or better, powered by the RF Power 1001bd ampShoot me some good 8" subs.....i prefer a single, but I'm not opposed to a pair of them either....i saw the Image Dynamics 8" subs, and those look good, just don't know if I should get 2ohm or 4ohm....leaning twd 2ohm for less resistance. I also saw the JL ones, but the mounting depth on them is WAYY too big, unless someone can find me something comparable with about 2-3" less mounting depth.HELP ME OUT! I want to find someone who has tried 8" subs in the rear deck of an S70.......what do you mean what is it for? it's for the trunk of my 850...just need something less space consuming so I can put my spare tire back in the trunk, and I also have to get a low floor jack since the car is soooo low now. hence why I need the spare tire and jack space back! For my sound needs, I think two decent 8" subs, or one GREAT 8" sub would suffice.

POOKDIZZLE
It's going to be tough to get an 8" sub to sound as loud and deep as a 12" sub. How about an isobaric loaded 10" box where as the subs face each other in a push pull configuration? This would take up a small space and give you a little more thump than the 12" did, or if you are strictly going to stay with the 8" driver(s) do the same configuration. I would go with JL due to the fact they require a very small enclosure and they sound very good ;)

NGB
Pras, you will not find ANY sub in the 8" size that will sound deeper than the same model in a 10" or 12" size. That said there are some excellent small woofers out there, but don't expect them to POUND like an ID 10".If i were you, i would look for a shallow mount 10" or 12" sub instead, but that's just me. Fiberglass the enclosure or do something snazzy like bing did with that wheel over the sub.
Spoony
woops, sorry. I was going to upgrade to a W3 in the future. My 2 10W0's take up a lot of space but they sound awesome.Pras, I'd offer them to you but they are waaaaaaaaaaaay too big for what you want.
