Swedish Mike
Jerry, how many MS2´s do you need to sell to give as a good GB offer?Sounds like MS is a good option for budget cars but I agree with Charles, would use a more expensive EMS for a serious race car or street car. This baby will cost 3000-4000 USD including car and all performance parts.I´ll buy one, just need to get some cash from the owner./Mike

Kits are very difficult to discount as I make nearly nothing on them after the labor involved. Assembled units have a small margin that I could use to use offer a bit of a discount on 6-10 units. As for the 'cheap can't be as good' argument, I'll be glad to offer a second group buy at triple the price .... There are MANY people that will argue that if you can make the MS do most anything you need it too and that it's more than enough for a race or street car. I've actually got two customers that are making over 1000whp MS'd. One is a 53 Studebaker making about 1200rwhp that will be at SpeedWeek2006 next week, I'm flying up to hang out with him. If 250mph doesn't qualify as a racecar tell me what does... please. The other customer is a 5000lb 4x4 pickup who's best time so far is a 10.08 in the 1/4. Enough to win his class in Drag Week 2005, and the prize? A brand new FAST XFI EMS, everything included. His response? No thanks, I'll stick with my MegaSquirt.... there's no need for anything else. He traded it to someone for some parts. by the way--- this truck is also a daily driver, and he'll be back at Drag Week 2006 this Sept, this year with twin GTS70 turbos. If you want easy and plug-n-play stay away from MS, or most other EMS's for that matter. If you want killer performance without a killer price.... you should at least check it out.
Swedish Mike
Thanks Jerry! Didn´t mean to trash talk MS but as a Swe guy I would use Nira on a expensive race car.Easier to use it on a Volvo engine cause it´s pretty much made for our engines, harness, sensors and start maps.Come on guys, usually a lot of MS questions on the board. Take the chanse.Anyone want to buy a MS to me? Better to ship it from a private person. Maybe a mini GB? /Mike

Swedish Mike
If you and others are serious about this, let me know.100%, talked to the car owner yesterday. We´ll buy one, perfect price and will do the job./Mike
Zulu
Not to be rude, lol thanks for that line, but if you really think MS is on par with Pectel, Bosch, GEMs, Motec, you might as well buy an 034efiI don't have the experience with those EMS that I do with MS. MS is close to them and I have yet to see any shortcomings with MS, people just don't like the install and the idea of how cheap/opensource it is.And yes, Mike if there is a GB...I'll take one. Chris Taylor
"Kit" means put it together yourself. I might be in for an assembled MSII setup with all the bells and whistles.
