New Raxle Axle

Just went and installed new seal and new passenger's side raxle axle. I haven't test driven yet as I have to finish brakes and rotors but that axle went in perfect! Of course the axle nut is not 36mm on the new axle so I have to go get the correct size socket. Thats o.k. minor irritation considering how well the axle went in. It looks to be a 30 or 32mm socket but I'm not sure. When I pulled old seal out lost some ATF but as soon as you put new one in it stops. AS far as the seal goes I would suggest to buy from the dealer as it fits perfect and is indentical. Oh yeah, what diameter hose do I need to bleed the brake fluid?

Thanks

You might want to think about getting one of these to measure things from Harbor Freight. I found it great. Press one button the reading is in inches, press again metric. Comes with a case and an extra battery. Digital Caliper

I used some 6mm tygon tubing, but anything that will fit over the nipple will work. It's always recommended to use clear, so that you can see any bubbles coming out. You only need enough to make it to your container on the ground, so a foot or so.
