Well my mechanic has the car and said "all the lines are fine." And is taking it to a place with a "computer to plug into the car." Will they find out the car is chiped? 850Nate Posted August 16, 2006 Author Report Share Posted August 16, 2006 sorry i forgot i started a new thread. I stated what happened in the old one. Well I got into the car 20mph kickdown. Went up through 1st gear. Let go off the gas and a POP-then a Woosshhhh noise.after that the car ran like crap. Vacumn gauge stayed the same as before. crc1185 Posted August 16, 2006 Report Share Posted August 16, 2006 Man it definitely sounds like you've got a big boost leak. Did you take a look at the turbo lines... it doesn't take a mechanic to see a hole in a hose. Just stick you're head under the hood and take a look for anything out of the ordinary.:edit: 17 psi will not bend rods, but it will certainly blow up stock hoses.
