MadeInJapan
oh you've got to be kidding me.. i find it hard to belive that the HVAC system can overcome the amount of apparent wind coming from the radiator shroud.Don't believe me? Had to go do some checking- You read it here first:

MadeInJapan
As I was saying...that piece is the cool air exhaust tube for the computer box. tongue.gifI believe you be talking about the box that houses the computer, and that plastic tube is just a cold air pickup to keep things from overheating in said box.Yeah right!

BeachRat
so how does that hose bring 'cold' air into the ECU's if all of that air is right off a hot jerk radiator? yea sure while moving things can cool down a bit .. but they still will be hot ....So it has to be plumbed back in front of the radiator? I can see it necessary to help overcome ambient temperatures from inside the engine bay, but why plumbing it there?
PullMyFinger
When the fan is on, there is a vacuum at that point.Notice those rubber flaps right below that point on the fan shroud? Those also get pulled closed by the same vacuum. Although, they open when the car is moving quickly through the air and the fan is off.I'm amazed that A/C is actually plumbed into that box to keep it cool. At least thats what it sounds like. What about cars with no A/C ?And what happens when the fan is off but the car is moving, is that vacuum still present? or what
