Account_Deleted_T5M
I got in contact with Gunther at InMotion and he told me he has the NA chip available. I'm waiting for a response for est. HP and Torque Gains, and although i expect to get flamed for it. This is a relatively cheap way to possibly get lets say 10hp gain for an NA? BlackT5
Will chipped his NA. I don't think there was much of an increase, but take what you can get.
Spoony
It really depends on the price. If it costs 600 bucks for ten hp for an NA, I'd say forget it. You can't get that much power out of it anyways so it's not worth the money. It'll never be close to a turbo.

Spoony
I guess for 200 it's worth it for ya. Go ahead and do us NA's proud.
MadeInJapan
Someone on another forum was talking about increasing "boost" on his NA....NA's don't have boost, so I suspect the ECU will only deal with timing really. Can't you achieve that with Slater's Cam wheel devise?
ArmyINFDoc
im really interested in what kind of gains you'd see with this chip. post if you know anything please!!

Can't you achieve that with Slater's Cam wheel devise? The chip modifies ignition timing while Slater's cam wheel modifies cam timing. If I had a NA 850, I'd be all over this bad boy. Whoever does do it, please be sure to do a before and after dyno, or at least 1/4 mile runs.
Account_Deleted_T5M
Well if it looks positive to get 10hp out of it, then it's $200.00 well spent i say. Someone on another forum was talking about increasing "boost" on his NA....NA's don't have boost, so I suspect the ECU will only deal with timing really. Can't you achieve that with Slater's Cam wheel devise? This was something i thought about, but a chip would seem to do more than just that. Sure an NA has no boost, but our volvos run rich already, not very optimal for peak power. Only problem you'd have to watch out is for detonation. So my assumption is that it adjusts the ECU for Optimal Air/Fuel Ratio. I'm hoping to dyno at the meet on Sept. 30th. Hopefully i can install chip there and see what the different Hp and Torque Readings are.
