C70 T5M Posted February 23, 2009 Report Share Posted February 23, 2009 We all already knew about that member obtaining those times, as he regularly stuffed it down everyone's throat cause he thought it'd made him super awesome.There's several members who have produced sub 14 times on a stock 16T, what NW T5R was getting at is the majority of members running with broken cars or poor tires getting much higher times than they should given their modifications.Agreed, but alot of it has to do with the drivers themselves, they preload the auto transmissions up to 2lbs of boost, and think that mashing on the gas is going to yield the best times, this is not the case, throttle control out of the gate is needed on ANY tire apart from a slick or drag radials as there are only a couple of cars on the forum that would warrant using them. L8 APEKS Posted May 9, 2009 Report Share Posted May 9, 2009 Best slip shows 14.1 @ 99 (2.3 60 ft), actual bests of 13.9 @ 100 (2.1 60 ft, 940 in sig...selling it this week, already took a deposit on it).Will be buying an 850T for a DD soon...hoping for similar times (14.0 @ 100). Still researching what it takes. I'm hoping a good chip, 19T, 3" turbo back, IC upgrade, injectors and C16 fuel will do it. Does that sound realistic? TRACStar Posted May 23, 2009 Report Share Posted May 23, 2009 Went to cecil tonight got 2 runs 14.400@100 2.57 60' 13.904@100. 2.23 60' 1st run guy kept me waiting at the line and I just rolled into it 2nd run went solo(right lane got oiled down all night) powerbraked it to around 2.3K I knew it was faster in the first 20ft spun for a second and just HOOKED it made my butthole pucker in fear for my axles Best part is my current "setup" 15" steelies 1 with rust time attack lip and both with tires that sat on my wagon for 2 years with no movement Will post pics 2morrow Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
