how hard was the install? i've been looking at gettign it for my R.

also; does anyone have all teh part numbers for the parts in viva's "kit" ?

$700 doesn't sound right. :P

Go with Setrab or B&M. They are better coolers as they are a cross flow plate design and the are both well under 100 dollars.

the rear set didn't fit the P2 suspension correctly, you couldn't set then so they didn't rub against the lower control arm. luckily the aluminum shaved off quickly. i replaced those several months ago.

on the front ones the hiem joints loosened up and started clicking. once they were replaced with the QBM endlinks the suspension is much tighter. the evolves were tight in the begining, but they just didn't last. i've only had them on for 8 months or so.

mine did the same Darn thing! did you ever contace evolve?

they are junk, along with 99% of all other evolve parts

i had EVOLVE's installed last year sometime. i had almost immediately planned to replaced them with the QBM parts, but i had them bought and installed by the time i learned QBM had a part to fit my car. i figured the EVOLVE's would last long enough for me to get time to have them replaced. never bothered to take it up with EVOLVE, not worth my time. turned out to be more than 1/2 a year to get them both replaced.

i would definately recommend putting QBM endlinks in.

they're OEM parts. they fit without drilling, bending, or any modification. all parts are included except tranny oil. i don't do the work for personal reasons.

So I am confused. The radiator has cooler lines going to it, why is this needed?

http://www.perma-cool.com/Catalog/Cat_page02.html

Automatic transmissions generate large amounts of heat and are totally dependant on the transmission fluid for cooling. When the fluid temperature exceeds 200°F the fluid deteriorates rapidly, diminishing its ability to lubricate and cool critical valves, springs, seals and other internal components, leading to premature failure and costly repairs. Over 90% of all automatic transmission failures are caused by overheating. A 20° drop in fluid temperature can double the life of the transmission!

The inefficient factory fluid cooler is located in the radiator's coolant holding tank. The hot trans fluid is cooled by transferring its heat to the colder engine coolant that surrounds it. The minimal temperature difference between the two fluids under normal conditions causes little, if any, drop in the transmission fluid temperature.

Perma-Cool® Transmission Oil Coolers perform best when installed in conjunction with the factory cooler and mounted in front of the radiator. With cool fluid re-entering the transmission, the valves, springs and seals perform as intended, resulting in smoother operation, positive shifts, lower floor board temperatures and extended life.

If you use your vehicle for towing, drive in stop-and-go traffic, or carry heavy loads, your transmission needs a Perma-Cool® Transmission Oil Cooler. If you drive a recreational vehicle, a street machine with a high-performance automatic transmission, or a race car, you also need a Perma-Cool® Transmission Oil Cooler.
