lax01 Posted September 2, 2006 Report Share Posted September 2, 2006 Why?why ask why?buy a ton of 4 gauge wire, trace the wires that run to the current battery and replace/run them through the cabin to the trunk....buy a battery box from Summit and secure it in the trunk...easy as that. However this is going to take weight off the front wheels (bad) and isn't going to give you any better weight distribution....it will give you a more open area to run the intake...why Volvo didn't put the battery behind the intake is one for the record books.... Mesoam Posted September 2, 2006 Report Share Posted September 2, 2006 Hi just wondered if it had been done and detailed by some oneas people are "attemping" to point out there really isn't much to it...you use the pass through that you would install your boost gauge with but you will have to remove the cap on itrun the wire through the trim inside the car and up under the seat into the bootin there you lift up the carpet and find where you want to mount it todrill, bolt, sealdone...look arround on www.jegs.com they sell a relocating kit___________now, care to share why you are trying to take weight away from the front end on a FWD car?if you want more room your best bet is to turn the battery sideways which has been covered a few times Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
