ryan850-t5
gregg doesnt know everything but on this particular point he is right. there are too many members to count on the board that have 18'' or bigger wheels with lowering springs including me. this is one battle your gonna lose
Gregg
none the less man...Atleast give me a reason why I'm wrong. No need to be so rude and just say I'm wrong. Espechially when I'm speaking from personal experiance. No offence to any supporting members..lolSorry, I didn't mean to come off as being rude (most of the time I'm pretty nice to people). But in this case, your recommendation was incorrect, because you only used your single experience as a reference point. But while your experience may not have been good, there are enough people that have lowered their cars and ran 18" wheels and had minimal or no problems at all (including myself). There are many factors to consider in order to achieve a wheel/tire/suspension setup that does not rub or cause other problems. That being said, there are plenty of 18" wheels available that will fit on a lowered 850 or classic 70-series without any problems, as long as the proper tire size is used (not to mention accounting for the amount of suspension drop, wheel offset/width, tire width/profile, etc.).Oh, and welcome back to VS That was quite a long break you had! Deuss
hehe you guys are arguing over nothing. its funny. I know a lot of people want me to lower my car. and i secretly think i should. but i really dont have much money left to spend on my car. I feel as if the car is almost done. I just need some minor cosmetic repair inside. and the rest stays the way it is.. now only if I would get those damn lights in the mail some time this year... that would be nice lol.. I really dont want to lower my car because i already mentioned i got a drive way thats roughly 30 degree incline... its not a problem but the problem is getting on and off from that drive way lol. If you look closely on the pics of the front you can see the rubbing marks and a rip in my bumper.... thats from just driving off the drive way lol. furthermore its michigan and you cant run around lowered with over 1ft of snow in the winter some times. lol... ill be sitting in the ditch most of the time. And then again i got some fat friends.... with stock heights i can barelly get away without rubbing.. and on every bump you can hear it rub.. thats with stock setup..and wtf is up with my car being ghetto lol? I just noticed that too lol. its Ghetolicious... a little ghetto and a little lishious. jk jk too much HGTV for me.ohh yeah forgot to add I think ill buy a shorter antenna lol for my roof it sticks out too much... and as for the other side vent. well i dont like it symetrical. ;)
