Its because they are exclusive i.e. nobody else makes sways and down pipe's. for other cars they cost much less.. You are paying for what they call R&D. That means some dude hit a button on the CAD/CAN coputer and voila, a 900 dollar down pipe that looks great and shiny but noone will ever see. You usually get what you pay for. Except in the case of pipes, welds and flanges. Great video though. by the way I have many friends into subaru's and they think IPD is also overpriced. Then I have to fit the stuff, make fixtures, lay out cash for materials and then hope that someone in this niche market is willing to pay for a quality product. Some of you geniuses need to study up on economy of scale. This is the precise reason why parts for Chevrolets and Hondas are a dime a dozen and parts for Volvos are so expensive. Tooling up for such a small percentage of the market is risky business. Percentage of market in sales of new autosChevrolet 27%Honda 20%Volvo 3%If those of us that are providing products are charging too much, why don't you all just step up to the plate and start manufacturing parts for these cars.
