I'm considering getting a 16t for the cross country, but I wanna know what else I need with the turbo any acc for the 16t like additional things for the turbo etc, and most important what websites can I get the additional things need to put with a 16t to make it fit properly ? I did some searching on google and yahoo, but didn't find anything on any additional things needed for a 16 turbo. I dont think its a simple (nothings simple lol) swap or is it ?

I saw a 16t turbo on ebay, but its from hong kong or something like that for like $500 and change. I saw a ad about a guy selling a turbo for a volvo 2000-2006, but doesn't know which model it fits he had the part number 8627990 I tried searching on google and yahoo for a part directory for volvo parts, but couldn't find s***

any advise would be appreciated

You need to make sure that the flange of your new turbo will match the downpipe. I think yours should be straight flange, so make sure that the new turbo is straight flanged. Thats the big thing. After that there are just gaskets and things that should be replaced, I'm sure someone who knows a little more about that will chime in.

I purchased my 16T from the same eBay seller you are referencing and they were very quick with their shipping and the turbo was brand new OEM as described. I'd recommend them.

Same here, turbo got to my door in two days even though i got the cheapest shipping, turbo was brand new and has been in for over a week and is pulling strong. I would also recomend the ebay guy. Mine was a straight flange by the way.

you have a 2000 V70 XC, so you have an angled flange turbo. If you replace the stock turbo, you should replace it with an angled flange Volvo turbo so that it is a direct replacement - no other physical components will have to be changed on the car.

That being said, if you are upgrading to a 16T you should also get your ECU reprogrammed (I like RICA, but there are a couple of other choices available too).

Or he could just swap the exhaust housing to retain the angled flange.... <_<

So a 16t for a 13g is a simple swap? Or is there any additional things I need with the 16t to put into my car, little confussed with the angle downpipe etc? Once I put a 16t in my car, will I be able to drive on stock boost from the new turbo untill I get a ecu upgrade ?

One more thing anyone knows this part number on a turbo 8627990 ?

Oh by the way is the 13g the sh***** kind of turbo in the 70 series?
