If you have the code but you can't enter it because the radio displays "off," turn the ignition key to position 2 (II) for 2-3 hours. The radio will reset and display "code" again.

Hi, I have the off dispalyed and was going to try to put it in 2(II), but the headlights come on and I cant shut em off. Will this work on I ?

Thanks

Hi, I have 1997 VOLVO which I bought second hand and the battery drained just recently which caused the SC710 to activate its anti-theft module. I don't have the code to enter, can you please help me unlock the stereo system? The SERIAL NO. is VO0930 H6111007G PART NUMBER 3533433-1

Please send me the unlock code via email: iamafreeman2@yahoo.com

Thank you so much, you guys did a good job with this site!

I found a way to make the SC 710 wor for 10 minutes, maybe it is meant to make it work for awhile to turn off the anti-theft mode.

PROCEEDURES:

1) Reset the stereo by pulling off the outlet at the back of the unit, it is the wider port. There are 3 ports there, 1 is the CD changer which is square, then the speaker connector and has a rectangular plug and then the power supply (<----this is what you need to disconnect) lastly is the antenna cord.

2) Press power and radio memory number 6 at the same time.

That's it, it will work for a short time but to turn off the anti-theft... that i have to ask you guys!

Hi we just bought a 1995 volvo 850 for our son.....he disconnected the radio and when he connected it again, the error light came on....is there an easy way to get the code so the radio it works again?

Hey folks, after my 1998 S70 had some electrical problems related to the battery fixed, my radio locked itself and doesn't work anymore. My local dealer wants to charge me for a simple lookup, so I figured I'd try here.

My radio is an SC-813 with the serial VO1030VO250558D.

Thanks!

The radio on my Volvo S40 2001 is showing OFF after I tried wrong codes. I read I should leave the key in the position II for 3 hours, but should the radio be turned on (i.e. when OFF is displayed) or off (when nothing is displayed)? I guess I could try both, but my car is parked on the street, and I would prefer to get it right from the first try.

Yes, read the first post.

I'm not 100% sure if it matters, but leaving the radio on would be the best choice.
