NadiNYC
Thank you very much, Owned! I left my S40 with the player on, and 2 hours later it was asking for the code! Now I'm just one step away from making my player work again. There is a card that came with the car, and it has a number on it, which didn't work. Actually, the number I tried is written with a marker, and it's apparent that the number originally printed on the card was erased. I don't know why anyone would do it. I think it means that the player was replaced in the past, perhaps more than once. I bought the car second hand and I have nobody to ask.The car is Volvo S40, year 2001. The VIN is YV1VS29501F706307. The serial number is VO2090 Y0315147D. The manufacturer is Mitsubishi (at least that name is printed on the player). Please mail the code to nadinyc@yahoo.comIf you need any other information, please don't hesitate to ask here or by e-mail. Thank you in advance!

Guest K. Kuras
Read the first post.I got on some other web sites and found a slick way! I had to start my car, pull the radio fuse (#7 in my car) and turn the radio on. It reset it from OFF to CODE. I entered my code and my radio and CD player are back in business.Pretty slick and I didn't have to wait 2-3 hours with my ignition on.
Guest hmac2
Heres a link. It may only work on 94's but Im not sure. Well Im gonna try to go get that serial number.Post #13 has a link that I went to and read some instructions on how to reset your radio code. It went like this, turn radio on, when “code” is displayed push and hold “6” while pushing “power & volume” knobs at the same time. Let radio turn off while continuing to hold “6”. Turn radio back on by pushing both “power & volume” knobs at the same time. It worked on my 98 V90.

Guest Jim Smith
I found a way to make the SC 710 wor for 10 minutes, maybe it is meant to make it work for awhile to turn off the anti-theft mode.PROCEEDURES:1) Reset the stereo by pulling off the outlet at the back of the unit, it is the wider port. There are 3 ports there, 1 is the CD changer which is square, then the speaker connector and has a rectangular plug and then the power supply (<----this is what you need to disconnect) lastly is the antenna cord.2) Press power and radio memory number 6 at the same time. That's it, it will work for a short time but to turn off the anti-theft... that i have to ask you guys!
