;) 355's getting rebuilt... sorry man, that's not the case with the one I know of. Gentleman has taken it to a few foa track days in the past and has the oil changed regularly, I have yet to hear of a motor rebuild or problem with the tranny's synchros

Yeah, but how many miles does he have on it?

Might even be the Enzo that needs the rebuilds, but I definitely remember reading an article in one of the mainstream mags that mentioned something of the sort.

There's an article in the August Motor Trend about a built up RWD V8 focus compared to a lamborghini gallardo. Cool article. The focus was actually 1 second faster around willow springs. Not that I would throw that much money at a focus but I would rather have a modified car than a stock supercar. But that's just me. I'm a cheap jerk.

a large majority of ferrari buyers can't drive. but I agree.

I would venture to guess anyone who has a high horsepower car and is learning to drive standard is going to destroy synchros. I'd like to see the glittering trans oil after their first drive :P

I think it's very typical. A friend of mine owns an exotic car rental place, they have brand new Lambos, Ferraris, Bentlys, some flagship Benz, plus many stretch hummers and stuff. Anyhow, from their new to older Ferraris all they really have to repair is clutch and transmission rebuilds, and that is all due to the drivers misuse. I'm told they rarely need an engine rebuild.
