TorqueSteer
110 octane is where its at Matt Puts 91 in his t-5, i put 89 in my 850 glt, i have done so for the past month now, runs great. I would putthe middle grade in it. speaking of octane tho, i was reading some guy put 100 octane in his , haha
ArmyINFDoc
No offense, but Id put a significant amount of money down that you wont without the help of forced induction. Your talking 245-250ish hp crank to get 190 wheel. Stock is what, 160 crank?the stock rating of a lpt is 190 hes saying that he will be about that rating with the chip and some mods. he didnt mean to the wheels
Turbo850Wagon
yours is N/A...so I dont see why regular would hurt, but I've seen that some companies that re-map chips suggest that you run premium, when i was looking for a chip for my old '87 BMW 325iS they said I would have to run 91 or higher because the tuned ecu assumed you were running that or higher, but that was BMW and this is volvo...I would run what the chip tuner suggest...or you could just thow out a few dollars, run the higher octane, and be safe
Account_Deleted_T5M
you realize that is 180 hp in a 4,000 lb car?Ya, but it makes me feel good to pull on a turbo I'm probably going to run the higher octane to be safe, it is just depressing cause regular here is 2.07, and 93 premium is 2.37 still heh
Sean
Waaaaaaa, we're still at 2.70 here.

tca217
 I got a 94 850 n/a wagon and all I have used is the 87 octane....no problems at all. If you listen to "pros" they all say if your car runs on 87 without pinging or knocking, then that is all you need. I live near the beach and when I visit my friends that live in the high desert ( elevation 4260 feet ) I just hit the cruise control for about 70 to 75 and go up the pass with no pinging or detonation. I am talking about my car which is stock at this time. But i am sure if you up the compresion, do a chip, ect., you will need to up the octane, that is common sense. you don't put 87 octane gas in a race car, do you?
