It was a very fair course, took a some of the car out of it and more of the driver.Luckily I was helping setup the Autox or none of the 850/70 cars would have had a chance. I would have liked a longer course, but they did well for the space had. Hell, I won it, so I can't really complain at all, can I? Congrats George, your car is cool and winning against Doug is no easy task. And about the autox, I guess we know who is the best driver amongst us. Bragging rights? I should say so. I'll never be "done"... what I don't want to have happen is have this turn into a pissing match of who can one up who at car shows.... I still view this as my fun hobby, and want it to stay that way We've all put countless dollars and time into them, to get them the way that we want 'em... I'm not going to let some dumb judge tell me who's cars better than someone elses.. The guy in the Dodge had experience in autocrosses before, although probably not in that car.When you said you were going to do a 27, halfway through the course I thought you had it. The judging is subjective also; it isn't really formal, at least for the modified classes. I agree that Pras probably lost points simply because the judges didn't know the mods existed. Davis was a lot different because it was peoples choice, similar to the IPD show. oh so sentimental. i like red, and I like scarfs. I also had an advantage of the automatic. I ran the whole thing in 1st gear, and unlike the 70s and newer cars, I can keep in there without it shifting on me. Amen to that dog!! Like I said already, I am proud to even have my car being compared to yours. I remember a little over a year ago when I first got my 850. I was looking to volvospeed and other places online to learn all the things I needed to build my car the way I wanted. And I remember seeing pictures of all the VS guys cars (especially kevins) and thinking to myself that someday I will have a car like that. I think there was competition at this show but we were all there for the same reason. We came together we partied together and we are glad to have been there regardless of who won the show. (obviously speaking for myself) We don't need to be in a competition since we are all in the minority for eurotuning anyway. Lets show those BMW/VW/Audi people who rules the euro tuner scene.
