Brakeless. 25lbs.I made the Integral seatpost, It tightens with a single bolt through the top, no seat guts and no seatpost clamp. I was looking at a Felt F75, but a coworker has a 2 month old Felt Z70 in my size that he'd sell me for $800. I'm just not sure what I want, but I do know I want a bike I'm not going to out grow in 2 months like he did... I think I can get a better deal on a used bike w/ ultegra for the same price as the Z70. Going to head to another bike shop after work today to see what they have. If you want to save a few bucks and don't plan on racing, 105 can probably fit your needs.I have 8 yr old Ultegra and unless I race again in the next 2 years, I'll probably get some 105 STI shifters to change mine since they were crashed once too many times. Spoony Posted March 21, 2008 Report Share Posted March 21, 2008 Ain't nothin' wrong with a lil' color in your transportation.The bug's gonna bite you and you'll want to get a few bikes. One for training, another for racing, another for just riding, etc. I'd start out with something with sturdy parts and ride it until race season. Then go shopping for a racing bike with super nice parts.Another choice you'll have to make is frame material. Aluminum frames with carbon forks with integrated headsets are the new thing. You'll be hard pressed to find some really light steel or titanium frames for a price as low as aluminum although some are totally worth it.A huge aspect is making sure the frame fits you.
