I currently have the EC70, which has the aluminum steer tube, have thought about switching to the EC90 since it's all carson fibers.

I'm running the EC90 on my Litespeed: oh sweet Lord! It's nice, I never thought I would feel an improvement, but I did.

This bike is for sale because I continually take huge drops and either destroy a few body joints or bash in the wheels and a few components. Make no mistake, this setup has been worked for all it's worth. Lucky for you I just rebuilt the fork that has now been blown for the 3rd time. The Fox rear shock is bombproof. The Mavic wheels are strong but they are maintenance friggin hogs. Granted they stay true, but I spend more time scooping crap out of this rear hub than I do assuring my wife her thighs are not fat. Caveat emptor.

So, here's a crummy story on an incident involving a doctor, so filled with rage that he felt the need to slam on his brakes, causing the two bicyclists behind him to crash into/over his car. link

Christian Stoehr recounts "We were riding downhill at approximately 30 mph when a car came up behind us, must have been doing 50 mph, and the driver started honking at us. We moved to the right in single file within seconds and the motorist pulled along Ron and started screaming at him. He then pulled in front of us with 3-5 feet to spare and slammed on his brakes, giving us no time to stop. I swerved and almost made it, clipping the car and flying through the air and landing in the street. Ron had no room to move and he went straight into the back of the car, putting his face through the back window."

The driver of the vehicle stopped his car and continued the tirade, identifying himself as a Doctor but never offering medical attention.

Ron reports that "my nose was separated to the point that it was hanging off my face. They moved it to the side and pulled glass out of my face. My front two teeth are broken, they found a piece in the backseat mixed in with all the glass. I've got 90 stitches in my face."

And here's the update where criminal charges are reported. link

That wasn't too far from me and know guys on that club. He will lose his medical license if convicted. It seems some road ragers don't understand that messing with a car and with someone on a bike is fundamentally different, it is very easy to kill someone on a bike with your vehicle. Lucky in fact that this guy didn't. I have never had any serious problems here in Orange County, we have very large bike lanes so don't have to mix with traffic flow much. My wife rides and I will probably have her start carrying mace after she was heckled on her way home from work this week, and I might too.

The whole incident is a very sad commentary on the state of our society.

Got mine from FedEx the other day, but have yet to take pics. It's a late 80's Schwinn World Sport my mom had laying around, so I decided it'd be a fun project.

Drew (Dongle) will be helping me fix it up and swapping it to fixed gear. So it's in pieces at his place waiting to get cleaned and "modded." Mmmm...can't wait. I'll get some pics up soon! This is basically what it looks like now:

I think my favorite thing is the sweet 80's decals. Soo pimp.
