BtownVolvo
yea i was thinking about running a little e-brake, but i really hate to ruin the clean and simple look of it.The welds aren't that pretty, but they're strong. I'm not too worried about it. Like I said, it's a temporary solution until i get my new wheels.

Especially since you're still learning how to ride that thing. I ran a brake when I first learned and I feel comfortable enough now to be able to ride without one. Just beause you can skid doesn't mean you can stop efficiently. Run the brake and stay alive.

cicatriz
So, I need to change the stem on my old school Bianchi, and was wondering how to figure which size stem to buy and threaded and blah blah all that stuff. Quill post sizing and minimum insert and all that I have no idea what it means.I was looking at some adjustables but there are so many sizes I wouldn't know where to start to figure out how to get one. Excuse the noobness and thanks!

Excuse the noobness and thanks! You technically need to get a bike fit to determine your appropriate stem length. If you want to do it yourself, first determine your correct fore-aft saddle position by plumbing the front of your knee to the pedal spindle at mid stroke(3 o' clock). Then use a stem that places a slight bend in your elbows while riding fully extended to the hoods. Your experience and flexibility will weigh on the stem measurement. flyfishing3
the top thing is called a POWER TAP. it measures the amount of wattage you produce, speed, ascent, Heart rate. cadence, calories burned-some other stuff i believe. if you're just getting into it, here's a site to get to know. http://cycnut.com/ and here's the forum: you'll see some familiar people there. http://cycnut.com/forums/ I'm to big(heavy) for a CF bike. i'm saving for a titanium frame. gdizzle
Which Ti frame are you looking at? You should talk to need11@47, he has a handful of titanium frames from various manufacturers. He's always had great things to say about Moots.
