Another testbike...Banshee Rune, from Canada. A enduro so a bit extreme for the Netherlands.

Cornerspeed is insane (grip!!) as is the way it goes downhill, it makes it looks so easy. 1*11 is something which i could get used to.

Sold the Santa Cruz and the Idworx is in for service.

That thing looks so cool!

1*11 is what I think I want on my bike. My wife has it on her Specialized and its sweet. I am still pretty damn new to mountain biking but I just suck at shifting

Back in the saddle again. Rode my cheap Nashbar Alpha 5000 that I've upgraded to moustache bars, peddles and saddle only. Almost everything is stock or how the last owner left it 10+ years ago. Rode more miles on this than I ever have in the past decade.

Did several rides along the Potomac and had my last ride cut short by Rolling Thunder.

Shit! That first mountain looks steep! Looks like you spent most of the day on ascents! Was it 'fun'?

I got about half that much climbing in 64mi today. Double flatted on the first lap of my race, rode 50mi solo so that I could keep competing in the other events. Fucking sucked.

we actually ended up going shorter and with one less major climb.   The weather was moving in and we didn't want to get caught out.

so if  you flat in a race, is there sag support? or you changing yourself on side of the road, and i can't imagine have 2 tubes with me.  i ride with only 1

Wheel truck was right behind us, thankfully. I don't ride with anything but food, water, cell, and wallet in a race. Every gram counts!

You are pretty fucked if you end up off the back, so I made sure not to catch any more flats.

Suffered during the crit:
