matt b
Been putting miles on the road bike again, but my heart's not into it. Tuesday/Thursday I ride with 3 other people at 5:30 am. Same route, every damn week. It gets beyond mind numbing but they're set on the routes and won't change them for the world. I'd rather spare an hour during the day to do hill repeats than ride the same roads every time. Getting a little tired of the roadie "holier than thou"mentality, so goal is to ride my Salsa more often this year.

I used them all day at Rays mtb park yesterday.. set the psi @ 25 and they were great on wood and concrete too. Great traction all over
gmsgltr
sweet... I still have tubes but I really cant wait to do some of these minor mods and get more riding in this year. with the repair stand and all the tools I already have I should be able to do nearly anything to the bike myself. There are great videos of 'how to' on the internet too for mtb. grip has been a problem with my crappy xr1 bontrager tires from the beginning. I finally have the confidence to run much lower pressures which has helped but the nobby nic and air fork over spring will be huge!
Dick Dastardly
Go tubeless. I've been tubeless for a long time and being able to run 15psi at times is great.

gmsgltr
Awesome! Got the 29x2.35 front and 29x2.25 rear Got the fork cut last night and bearings set just gotta install tonight!
gmsgltr
Do you have pics of your tires? The 2.35 came this weekend and is supposedly a newer tread pattern than the 2.25 ones I got off of Jenson USA... what doesn't make sense though is that the 2.25 to me seems to have a better tread pattern/design, is lighter, and the tire wall graphics lettering is more lively and brighter...
