If the Ebay ones didn't look like the joints had been wet sanded by Phillipino slave laborers, I'd jump on one and do a nice paint scheme on it but they look a lot like everyone's front bumper lip.... :(
gdizzle
I ride a china frame and have been very pleased with it. It's rock solid. No shame here. Mine has a brand name on it, so it doesn't have crubed joints.
flyfishing3
for all the weight weenies, my new brakes. ciamillo Gravitas SL. yes, they are CF. Which Ti frame are you looking at? You should talk to need11@47, he has a handful of titanium frames from various manufacturers. He's always had great things to say about Moots. yeah, they seem like a nice colorado company. my problem is, i'll get the best deal out of ALPINE, so i'm limited some. lol

flyfishing3
i've come to the conclusion, i'm done spending money on the car so the bike is getting it. actually, all my fun spending is about to end. I"m buying a cabin shortly, it will push me i'm afraid. Brakes plural? WTF do you still have a rear brake for anyway? i hit 45mph on a downhill the other day. i'll take FRT/Bck and drop an anchor at those speeds.
Fudge_Brownie
So this isn't really pics of my stuff, but I guess this is the place to talk bikes. And this place needs more MTB talk, too much spandex currently. I've had Kenda Kross's on my bike for a little while now. Switched to them back when I was in school doing a lot of pavement riding with the occasional dirt trip. Great tire, sooo much faster and smoother on the pavement, and pretty solid handling until you hit the knobs on the corner. But I've pretty much stopped pavement riding, all dirt now. And I kept feeling like the tires were really holding me back (no shit, right? ) I don't see a lot of mud, mostly hardpack so I knew knobbies would help, but ... god damn. I had no idea they would feel so great. Its been so long since I've had knobbies on it I totally forgot what it felt like. Parallel shiny roots are no longer a "cross your fingers" moment, they accelerate so much better, corner better, handle turtle-sized rocks at speed much better, .... I just can't believe I didn't do this sooner. Who woulda thought a dedicated dirt tire would be so much better than a semi-slick? Well, I guess I kind of did for the conditions I usually ride in, figuring if I wasn't losing traction, who cares. I didn't have too much climbing trouble, can't remember any recent washouts. But oh so wrong. Also, I had wire-bead tires. Fighting those fuckers on and off was a process. Went wireless, so much easier. Only thing I'm going to miss is the new tires just don't respond on the pavement like the Kross's did. They were great for urban riding. Maybe I need to get a few more bikes, one just isn't enough Kross's Kenda Excavator's
ruecatinat
When I worked @ the LBS they were our big seller. Don't get me wrong they are a lot better than cookie cutters but after selling/servicing/riding them for years I don't think I'll ever own another specialized Completely understood My team is sponsored by Specialized: great bikes without any doubt. They don't speak to me like an Italian frame would, but from a technical POV, they are probably one of the very best out there. That's a very good way of putting it...great bikes but lacking a little soul? So this isn't really pics of my stuff, but I guess this is the place to talk bikes. I recently switched to an all-dirt set of tires...the Race King 2.2 on the rear and the Vertical Protection 2.3 on the front, the difference between my old set is amazing and Continental's Black Chili compound is great so far. matt b
dude you crack me up with the $ you spend on that bike time to drop those kryseriums for some ZIPPS He needs to take Zipps' weight restrictions into account. Since he'll have to go with a bigger wheel and higher spoke count, he might have better options elsewhere for the same $$. And I agree: Mike's dropping coin on that bike like his life depends on it. Mesoam
I did some poking around I think I'm going with a set of Williams for the Bianchi ala Matteo's rec after these Mavic wheel bearings take a turd... Got delivery notification on the Easton's for the hard tail, can't wait to get the wheels/brakes done on that thing, should make a pretty nice difference. matt b
You'll love your Williams. I would ride mine all day long if it weren't for the soft tubulars on them.
flyfishing3
With all the stupid money I'm spending, the kysriums are probably the best/cheapest money I've spent Super happy with them. Compared to cf, the weight is lower overall
Mesoam
Lower overall compared to what a CF frame? No
