Bike Pics!

I have been thinking lately that roadbikes seem to be settling on carbon and I think that it will become the standard..Much like tennis raquets in the late 80s..Once they perfected Carbon/graphite raquets there is no other material to play tennis with.

Of course there will always be steel and Ti, but I think those will be relegated to the niche market (haven't they for 10 years anyway?) and aluminum will be low end mass market for the most part

I think there is still some advancement to be made in the carbon frame world including more small shop craft makers as opposed to the fact most of the carbon frames come out of Taiwan and are just plastered with brand decals. However definitely think you've got the right idea,

Is any manf using the hybrid stuff like the Ti-Carbon weave? I know my Bianchi uses some of the Carbon-Kevlar in the seat stays. Similar to when there were a ton of different alloys being used on frames (think like Specialized and their M compound frames e/t/c)

So last night I hosted some couchsurfers (Couchsurfing.org) who were riding from Key West, FL to Niagara Falls, NY! I was Day 39 of their 50 day journey. They are raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project, and have never cycled out of state so I was pretty damn impressed! Nice guys too, check out their webpage and what not: www.mikeandnate.com

Oh! and Nate (Right) drives a 1992 240 which I thought was awesome

Nice dungeon, guessing not too many customers come down there?

But seriously thanks for looking @ the shifter thing! Guess i'll just have to get the Di2! hah

No problem on the shifter thing

Yeah the "Dungeon" is where I prefer to work..leaves me to get a shit load done with out the distraction of all the customers etc..All I do is repairs

(and help cook and tap kegs :D for the last wed. of the month cookout/keg party for all the team guys and employees etc..)

The stand I use at night is the daytime assembly stand and the kids who work there always leave a mess

A guy with long hair biking cross country couch surfing drives a 240?

Yeah you know those non-conformists...that seem to conform to a certain pattern of predictible conformity

Got several compliments on the bike, and a lot of questions about the Rohloff hub, 'where did your derailleur go to'? ^_^
