I think it's a great idea for all drivers young and old alike to take a car control course from an established driving school like Bondurant, Skip Barber, etc. It teaches you a lot about the car and what to do in emergency situations in a safe, controlled environment. The skills learned in the classes sure come in handy for avoiding the perils of everyday driving. The driver can be 'upgraded' just like the car and sometimes it's a lot cheaper than buying that fancy new performance part. :)

Thanks, EXACTLY! being young is like a "scapegoat" for everything bad that happens when your young, which dont always apply. I mean i can understand if i was racing, or attempting a drift or somethin like that but i just took a u turn to quickly (guess i figured with the extra rubber from the tires +strut brace+sway bars it would not have been a problem which it wouldnt have been if it wasnt, except for the road conditions....

Ya i should do that...however i think the mistake i made was when i lost controll and went sideways is should have accelerated to try to pull out of the slide instead of slamming the breaks which just locked up my wheels and sent me sliding into the curb :(

Silly me. All this time I thought loosing control of a 3000 pound vehicle because you thought TRACs was a substitute for common sense was stupid.

TRACS is a substitute for common sense. Whenever I have a multiple choice test in school, I bring tracs with me to make sure I do well. I should get a job.

...

rotor was fine in my particular case. unless the weel was bent so bad that it hit the rotor, or the bearing was smashed the rotor should be just fine

well thats the thing my wheel aint hit the rotor at all i think it literally snapped cause of the impact

Darn dude that looks like one of those accidents where you sit in the car for 5 minutes and just yell FU.CK. I need it in the jerk bad after this! cause you know something is already destroyed.

hope you find a cheap way to repair everything

lol i was PISSED OFF lol and thanks man I hope I do to... :( :)

Well, i'm sure you'll learn from the experience, especially if you have to spend your own money (not money from parents) to repair the car.

Sucks that it happens, but now you've got that experience behind you.
