pft. 5 injectors. <_<

Good luck! Im going to be back in sweden on the 3rd but the cars going to be running as soon as i fly home and plug him in.

Good luck and dont forget to keep me updated!

(I still think a 255 is a bad choice... can you fit a 044 in tank?)

Your manifold looks interesting from the pictures... is this your final revision or before you went bigger turbo?

hahaha, i don't know... just doesn't seem that close to me. But remember i haven't seen my engine in 8 months hahaha, much less a volvo engine :(

Hey Greg quick question though, right off the front of the manifold there is the evap pressure line right? it should have two check valves... which way are they supposed to go?

that big huge thing attached to the master cyl w/ a bunch of brake lines coming out of it ring a bell..? ;)

+1, sometimes I think that might be a reason the swedes use 4" dryer ducting instead of a solid pipe... oh well, guess there's only one way to find out.

I've got a couple pics at home. We used a downpipe that we made for a buddy's 850 a couple years ago. He went back to stock cause he's selling his car, so I grabbed it. Just needs a little adjustment up near the turbo. We started with that and worked back to just past the tunnel. Had to stop because the MIG wasn't working so we couldn't tack it. We ended up using duct tape  but that only works for a small section before there's just too much play.

I gotta get the wastegate piping started too, but i'm busy for the next few evenings so probably this weekend.

Here are some pics from when we made that downpipe a few years ago...

Thats the final tubular manifold, whys it look funny? You cant see that huge GT35R hiding in there? Its hard to miss! <_<

It does have an external WG coming off of it too, that could be why you think it looks funny? The only thing i plan on moving as of now is where the intakes sitting, thats a rush job and is sucking in hot air. :( I plan on moving the battery to the trunk, moving the radiator over flow to where the battery was, and then moving the intake away from the header and heat shielding it, and putting a few slots in my new CF hood for some extra cold air.

Mark how big are you doing your intercooler piping? Your doing a 4" DP down to a 3" exhaust or 4" all of the way?? and 4" intake??

someone please remove the Saab melarchy from Mark's thread...

on that note, i'm interested in hearing how that catch can setup works, what did you end up doing with the other ports off the PCV box? (or did you do away with it?)

Kaylan: My IC piping is all 2.5". It's what was the closest match to the turbo outlet, intercooler inlet/outlet and the throttle body. The exhaust is all 3" and the intake pipe is 4".

Travis: This is how I left the PCV.. I just ran that one line to the catch can, i'm interested to see how it works too.

12 pages of pure awesome mark.

My 98 black T5M will be showing up tomorrow morning in my driveway. This thread is a real inspiration on what could lie ahead for me as well.. well.. mabey not to this degree...

Awesome none the less though. Was it the 19T that did you in ultimately?

Oh and did you have any trouble with the 3" exhaust as far as fittament goes? Any pics? A 3" DP and 3" exhaust is first on my list of performance mods.

mark your intake looks great!! Your piping sizes are identicle to mine... they are going to be swedish twins!

where did you get the vacuum nipples you welded to your intake? still havent done that and my bpc is not functioning correctly. Also maybe its a stupid question (dont know volvos well) but why do you have two vacuum lines from the intake? do you guys also use a 3 line BPC??

your catch can should work great how you have it set up. i just ran one line from the top of my valve cover to the catch can and put a tiny k&n filter on it for a vent... works great.

How has the wiring been? i think i have decided to plug it in and tune it on the dyno with my stock fuel system so its driveable on the EMS and next im going to do a full fuel system and convert to E85... no sence wasting money on injectors now and then switching in a few months... although its very frustrating to not have the power i know its capable of. <_<

Also how did you decide to do the harness? directly spliced into current wires, or are you doing a plug and play harness using plugs from a stock ECU? I have a very good information source for this standalone BTW if you PM me on saablink i will find the site for you. Have you studied your swedish lately?? :)
