Rear Brake Rotor

Do you know what size the rear rotors are on the R's? I know they are larger than the others. I am thinking about getting TarOx to make some g88's for the rear if you want in on it. :) B)

I wouldn't bother going w/ a drilled or vented on the rear unless u really want to. Unless u've got AWD about 12-20% of ur braking comes from the front. I'd just go huge in the front. It wouldn't hurt to upgrade the rear but...I'd rather spend the money towards the front. But that's just me.

If the rears go that's more load on the fronts, though you shouldn't have to worry about that since we don't have tiny rear brakes. For cosmetic purposes though vs. cost why cheap out the 20 bucks and not use same style rotor

I run the raceconcepts rotors front and rear with no problem of warping

So that means 88-80% of the braking comes from the rear! Yes we both have AWD and yes upgrading the rear rotors with veted/drilled discs will help.

That's a neat looking rotor B)

I have sent an e-mail to eurosports to see what they offer.

Are the raceconcepts drilled or slotted?

BTW the AWD does use more of the rear brakes than FWD. When I bought the car the only replaced parts were 2 sets of rear rotors and 1 on the front! It had 42,000 miles at the time.

My bad I meant to say rear...average FWD car gets around 80% braking from the front...upgraded rotors in the rear won't hurt at all...I'm just saying if there's a limited amount of $$ u're putting in, put it in the front. But again, u're AWD...maybe 40% comes from the rear. It's ur choice. :D

What I want to know about is the rear rotor on the 2000 R. Wills. Your rear rotors (and mine too) are solid. I have been told that the rear rotors on the 2000 (and maybe 99) are vented. Not gas slotted, but vented. I want to know if this is true. Then I need to figure out if this requires a different caliper and all of the part numbers. Anyone.

The rear calipers are a 2 piston design at least on my 850. You can split the halves and make spacers to widen the calipers so you can use ventilated rotors. I did that for my sunbeam. Make sure the spacers are PERFECTLY flat though or else you will have uneven pad and rotor wear and less braking power
