Marlboroman
nice work man! that front bumper looks mean. BTW, how did you do the vent on your hood? Thanks =)Ï cut out a hole in the hood, and them putted in a glasfibrescoop, which i then glued in to place. Then i used glasbibre strips to cover the edges between the hood and the scoop. A lot of glasfibre bondo(? we say spackel) and then some fine bondo on top. Marlboroman
Long time no see... Well, i'd better make a mammouth update since i have done quite a lot of things during the summer och the first half of the winter.I bought a piece of cf wich turnes out to be to floppy for what i inteded to use iy for, so i lays around still, might use on my daily beater instead. A new airfilter to fit the larger amm-housing, Precision 550cc @ 3 bar injectors and voltage/oilpressure/oiltempgauges.Made this arrangement just to have something instead of a big hole where the stereo should be.Got a MSD ignition coil, wery happy with it.In order to get i to stop the 302mm frontbrakes has been replaced with an AP Racing kit containing 325mm discs and 4 piston aluminium calipers. They fill out the rims quite good.Amongst the first thing i did during the winter i changed the sub frame bushings and i took down the rear axle in order to change all bushing on that too. I also renovated the handbrake witch was in a sorry state.I've painted the wheelhouse'sRear axle all painted up and ready to be installed againA lot of new thing to go inte the head along witch has been ported and mira-milled.The head after porting, this is the exhaust side, and yes, the head was upside down when i took the pic.The intake side (also upside down)Got the rims powercoated white instead, i think thats gonna look better considering the overall look of the car.The white rims looks makes for for a nice contrst with the brakes repainted red.Haven't got a clue what these are called in english, but i got a set of these in order to make the inside lokk a little better.Got a set of sparco floormats so i couls get rid of the old stock rubber mats.Flanges, pipe and bends for my stainless exhaust manifold, not finished yet. Apart fron the exhaust manifold, there will be a new upper pressurepipe, a new inletpipe and a new downpipe.Tial 38mm wastegateHolset HX40 with #16 exhaust house. The 18T just cannot deliver the kind of power i'm after, so i got the turbo from a Volvo truck instead Why the update took so long? well, i had a lot of minor issus this summer and got qutie tired of the car. I was actually sold for a short while, but the guy who wanted to buy it backed out. so i was wery close that iv'e could have had a really nice -98 V70R awd by now. And i was just gonna make some minor thing during the winter, but somewhere along the way i got out of hand, again Apparently i'm easily convinced... So now i'm aiming for 450hp... We'll se how it ends... If it ends... Recently a mag here in Sweden made a visit to my garage for a feature, an the will feature it again when it's finished for this season
