That is very cool! I wonder if they ship to the US?

Guys, listen up. There's a British company that make a CV boot which you stretch OVER the CV joint. This means you don't have to dismantle the CV joint. In fact I did my outer boot in 1 hour on Saturday. I didn't even have to remove the ball joint or control arm, just the strut bolts and the brake parts. If you want to see what I am talking about, go here. http://www.bailcast.com/bailframe.htm

If you order any boots, remember to order the cone for installing the boot. Also, just use engine oil to slip the boot up the cone and you will also find it impossible to push it forward. Rotate the boot as you push it up and over the cone. It comes with grease and clips too.

Sorry to resurrect this thread which is about the various brands of driveshafts available. I'm posting my experience on EMPIs in case someone's searching for a driveshaft replacement. It came in a well-packed box. Inspecting the thing, it looks well made. It comes with a new 36mm nut.

I installed it today and the fit is perfect. The inner spindle snapped into the transaxle without fuss, the carrier bearing(?) aligned with the holder perfectly and outer spindle fit just as well. It is interesting to note that the EMPI shaft between the inner spindle and the carrier bearing is a smaller diameter but solid rod whereas the OEM is thick diameter but hollow rod. The EMPI did feel slightly heavier. A test drive showed no problems so far.

Thanks for posting Geevs. Good info to know. Did you replace your axle seal or was it OK to reuse?
