ProjectT-5R
Is it supposed to be light? I am sure it is light as it is, but why are you keeping useless things for track use. I see horns, cowl cover, mud flaps, washer fluid tank. Ditch the extra crap. Everything else looks AWESOME.

ProjectT-5R
Yes small, but still existent. I just don't see the point. The stuff I mentioned, and I am sure more, just adds weight no benefit to the driver. I bet you could cut another 15lbs easy. I was just wondering if there was a logic? So... Johann is there a logic? Can you post a pic a current pic of the interior?

Johann
Is it supposed to be light? It is supposed to carry less weight but at this point no intention to make it ultra light.I am sure it is light as it is, but why are you keeping useless things for track use. I see horns, cowl cover, mud flaps, washer fluid tank. Ditch the extra crap. Everything else looks AWESOME.For road approval I need a horn and also washer system and a defogger fan in the interior. Mudflaps are still on because they also hold the inner fenders, they will go at some point. One side is coming off already.. For the interior, the rear electric window motors and mechanism's are still in but will be exchanged with manual versions soon. PS, car has been on the dyno yesterday. Final results was 230 crank HP and 177 lb-ft of torque. On the dyno we used an 8K RPM redline which was reached without fuzz but for street use it will probably be lowered to 7500 RPM. ViperVette
230 at the crank, nice man! Are you planning on going bigger with it or content with that power range?
Johann
Are you planning on going bigger with it or content with that power range?First i want to drive it for a while and get the bugs out.. With the cold weather there's a problem with TB's getting stuck. The car will drive but after a while the idle won't come down because one and a half TB do not come back to their closed position. Engine bay need some cleaning up, a tad more bling compared to what it is now. I guess eventually I will come to a point where I want some more power from this car but for now it is more that OK. Just great fun to drive and weird enough much more challenging than the turbo car. This is what it sounds like after tuning and with a stuck TB..http://youtube.com/watch?v=MVNVJeXUycI
Johann
Decided to change the tires because I found the overall diameter to be to high.Tires were Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 225/45-17. I decided to give the Kumho Ecsta V700 215/45-17 a try.
