JHEIII874T5M
Yes he could go the vacumn tree route but he could have done that without the tubing kit. He could have just bought a T-split and then been done with it, but when he bought it I think he told them something like he wanted everything he would need. They didnt he has a right to state what happened, does he not? He didnt get a part, therefore it wouldnt work, he didnt know there was a part missing, therefore his logic is sound in that he would be upset. period. So the boost gauge without the tubing kit comes with the nylon tubing required to run from the boost gauge to the vacuum tree?
ACES70
Now he knows and now he can go another route, which he is. To each his own.

Just grab a vacuum cap and poke a hole in it.No it doesnt, but like you said you can get that kit other places for half the price. An auto store would be cheaper and then he wouldnt have the extra brass fittings. I personally found 12$ not enough to deal with the hassle of returning so I just kept it and went and got the parts I needed. He feels a return is neccessary.Or use some of the extra vacumn hose that comes with a Samco or stylinmotors kit, if you already have it, What I did. Che'_Moderator
Not sure what the fight is at this point but this thread is handicapped. 1. Nylon is what you want. Its probably HDPE but either way it will not crack or swell or contract under pressure/vacuum like silicone and rubber will.2. Your tree has a Vac tree use it. 3. If you have the gauge and tubing the only thing you could possibly be missing is a compression fitting. Its a standard fitting you can buy at any hardware store. Its like 2 dollars. Just go buy one. But you say you have gold colored parts so it sounds like you have everything.PS: If that rattles you stop modifying your car now.

I see where Terror is coming from so i said something, not that anyone else was wrong its just someone that doesnt know doesnt need to get bashed by people who have been doing this for a long time. How about "Help with IPD kit"

How about "Help with IPD kit"I agree Che my bad for that post. I was just pissed at first. I see the kit for what it is now and talking to the manufacturer (not IPD) really helped me see the light. The kit can work and I say can lightly. The best idea i have seen is buying a vac cap and routing the 1/8" tube through it to connect to the tree. Lesson learned here sorry for the post. My beef with IPD mainly was they should elaborate when selling kits like that to anyone expert or noob.
